Western Maryland Scenic Railroad, 2-8-0 # 734 leans into Helmsetters Curve on this true, winter scene. No. 734 was featured for the 2011 WMSR Winter photo charter hosted by Carl Franz.
The unmistakable face of a GP30 is here represented by WMSR 501. In a few, the 501 will be assisting WMSR 734 up the hill to Frostburg with a seasonal heavy load of passenger cars.

This is one of the steeper grades on the WMSR, up out of Woodcock Hollow, and the Geeps are giving it everything, shoving all out on this extra long train while a trailwalker watches.
