This coil train is firing up and ready to continue its trip south.

From my advantage above the tunnel a southbound manifest gets ready to enter tunnel #3.

A northbound UP ballast train makes it's way down from Bealville to tunnel #2.

A BNSF baretable makes its way up the hill towards Bealville.

The UP shield abounds as both ends of a southbound rack train fill the frame, the locomotives working hard out of tunnel 5 while the last few racks have just exited tunnel 3.

The Hills are alive with the sound of... Dash 9Ws pushing hard on a stack train ascending the grade on UP's Mojave Sub. Not many sights are more stunning than the Tehachapis in springtime.
