4/5/05 was a good afternoon for UP power on the Pittsburgh Sub. This was the first of two trains I caught with solid UP power.

This 138 is abnormally short - the entire train is visible in this photo. Train is passing the old P&LE McKees Rocks yard office, visible at right.

Eastbound

138 rolls east through McKeesport, passing one of the few remaining P&LE signals. The eastern end of the P&LE is the only part of the line that still features original P&LE signals.

Q138 gets underway after meeting two westbounds at Pittsburgh. With the Fort Pitt Bridge and Heinz Field dominating the background, 138 looks almost inconsequential.
