Two of Metra’s MP36PH-3S are being brought out of the yard leads and around the curve at Canal Street just prior to another rush-hour in Chicagoland.

Ah, the sweet smell of spring railfanning.

405 passes under the CB&Q signal bridge at Highlands as Z-CHCSSE approaches on the middle.

A westbound scoot on the BNSF heads out underneath the Sears Tower and Chicago's skyline.

MP36 405 departs La Grange and heads for its next stop at Brookfield.

405 barrels down Main 2 with an express to Naperville.

It's always nice to see an MP36 fly by. 405 hurries an express through Downers, on its way to Naperville.

405 accelerates from the station on the middle track. Maintenence in Hinsdale caused the inbound trains to have to stop on Main 2 in Western Springs and LaGrange.

After waiting for a BNSF Dash 9 to highball through, Metra 405 begins to move through Aurora, as BNSF 6899 Bluebonnet SD40-2, NS SD60, and BNSF C44-9W head back into Eola.

With all due respect to MPI's marketing people, who actually got Metra to buy 20-odd of these, a Panzer with one working track could outrun this thing.
