The Palmett0 (#89) pulls into the Staples Mill Rd Station. It was running late, and there was a 3 way meet in the station with 2 northbound Amtrak trains.
A roadslug set swithces the paper mill on a gorgeous fall morning.

This trio of units just dropped of a train of empties. The loads that they will replace are just to the left. The first unit almost looks white compared to the dark future units.
Making up a rather lenghty train is just another days work.
PO-89 was delayed slightly waiting on a signal at Doswell. There is a lot of maintenance going on up and down the old RF-P.
A four unit set of power rests in the yard. A colorful lash-up to say the least.
These units were awaiting assignment in Doswell, the rear unit was the only one running.
A brilliant winter day. However, the temperature was almost 70 degrees, which made it feel like spring time!!
