UP 4290 leads a short WB trailer train through the dramatic scenery of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

UP 4441 is leading an EB on the single track section between Switch 9 and Shed 10. Though the equipment and cargo have changed, it's doing what's been done here for over 136 years.

UP 5807 is still pushing, as it will until the summit 17 miles from here. The grade at Yuba Pass has eased to only 1.7%, not as bad as the sustained 2% or greater most of the way up from Colfax.

After a week of several intense snow storms, UP 572 and 566 head downhill out of Tunnel 35 with flanger back to Colfax after clearing the main track to Donner Summit.
