After making a quick trip to Petersburg and back, the F units are lined to the roundhouse to be serviced before heading out that night to Atlanta.
The Norfolk Southern "Augusta special" crosses the James River upon returning from the Augusta golf tournament in Georgia.
On their first daylight run over the James River, the NS F-units lead the Augusta OCS North from Lynchburg.
