Former Sierra Railroad #36 during its tenure on the "Heber Creeper", at the time, properly known as the Wasatch Mountain Railroad. It is now the Heber Valley.
#8 is actually ex-Dardenelle & Russelville #8, then owned by Shortline Enterprises, but lettered for the Sierra on this trip with SRR #3. The #8 was later sold to the Nevada State Railroad Museum... (more)
The halcyon days of Sierra Railroad excursions were drawing to a close. Along with #3 is 2-8-0 #28 and 2-8-2 #34. Of the three, only #28 is operable today.
