The four Southern FP7 units have been run around the excursion train and are ready to depart for the return to Asheville, NC. The rain had finally let up and the sun made a weak appearance.
Two high nose GP30 units sit next to the older FP7 units in Asheville. One of these units, 2601, has been restored at the North Carolina Transportation Museum in Spencer.
