CP 9633 leads its train east upgrade towards the continental divide. This stretch of track once had a siding named Hector.

CP 8950 leads its train slowly east along the swollen banks of the Bow River. Flooding which began June 20th, caused CP to close its line down between Calgary and Golden for almost 5 days.

With a classic A-B-A power consist, the Royal Canadian rolls into Calgary at a leisurely speed. There's only 9 or 10 miles left before its passengers disembark at the Palliser Hotel.
