FEC 210 roars out of heavy rains at Colfax. The remains of Tropical Storm Karen brought us 2-4 inches of rain locally along with very warm and humid conditions.

An exceptional opportunity to catch a northbound in PM light was given by FEC 210 being 5 hours late. Late trains on the FEC are very rare and the last time 210 was this late was in 2011.

FEC 715 the latest Champion repaint leads 720 and train 210 through moderate tropical rains blowing in from the Atlantic. This was 715's first trip leading 210.

Thunderstorms rolling in from the Atlantic thanks to a tropical disturbance gave 210's two Champions a wash as they head northward at Colfax. For "East Coast Hogger" who's birthday is today.

This is the first time a matched set of Champions has lead train 210, seen here in light rain. Power has been mixing around on all of the FEC's through trains of late.
