There have been a lot of standard cab leaders through the area this week.

It is amazing to think what this old abandoned store has seen pass by on the rails of the NB line in the days of N&W and now NS.

With it's original full whiteface covered down to just the standard unibrow, NS 9745 leads train 236 around an S turn and into Bristol on the A line.

With morning fog floating over the top of the Holston River, NS 236 moves East through Bluff City and on into Bristol. more)

Running on brand new rails, NS 236 is now controlled by a fresh Virginia Divison crew at Wallace, VA.

Running at approach speed, NS 236 closely follows M11 into Bristol.

NS 236 crosses the tail waters of Boone Lake via the Holston River Bridge.

236 slowly passing the Bristol Train Station as it is about to stop for a crew change. The SD60 in the Conrail "Can Opener" scheme was an added bonus.

NS 236 sits and waits patiently for train 112 to finish work at the yard and run the 14 miles to Piney Flats where they will meet and take their turn at going to Bristol for a crew change.

After a long wait for, and roll by inspection of train 112, NS 236 gets back under way on its trip to the port at Norfolk.
