Interesting saying on front of engine today

The westbound California Zephyr is snaking along the Colorado River Valley just west of the switch at Azure which is seen in the background. The train will be to Bond, CO in about 15 miles.

Change of motive power at Washington's Union Station. These diesels pulled the northbound Crescent from New Orleans and electric power will take over for the remainder of the trip.
