The 90 Class are the biggest diesel electrics to operate in Australia outside of the Pilbra region. Here two of them, and an 82 Class, lead a long empty coal train through Maitland.

Before the coal train can fully pass, another Hunter Valley service leaves Maitland on return to Newcastle.
