Hartmann locomotive N°262 makes a short stop at the Bosra station. The building looks like a French rural station. Syria was under a French mandate until 1946.
The locomotive 031-805 has been built in 1894 in Switzerland by the SLM. It is an ex rack engine that was used in Lebanon. This part of the line is unfortunately no more existing.
This is the Syrian version of the Galloping Goose ! From the informations that I could collect, it appears that this vehicle is based on a 1936 Ford truck. It was still in service in the year 2000... (more)
