Westbound manifest rolls near Roza dam, knocking down the signal across the Yakima River as seen from old Rte. 97. There's nothing like guardrail railfanning!

Winding down the canyon past some great fishing holes near Roza dam, old Rte. 97 offered a nice view of the NP across the Yakima River.

This is an amazing picture, to me. I had considered all these gone for a few years when two showed up in the yard in Hamlet getting periodic inspections. I don't know how they survived so long.

LS&I 2500,2401,2303 are waiting for the 3PM hill job crew to come on duty at Eagle Mills. One crew member has showed up early and can be seen washing the windows of 2401.
