NPR 2283 and 3510 run west as they enter Forest River with two grain hoppers in tow. This is the first time I've caught the Northern Plains running in almost a year and a half...

Westbound leaving the yard, BNSF 4190 is in charge of this grain train which just cleared off the Glasston Sub several minutes prior.

The Drayton Local breezes south over the Turtle River just outside of Manvel. I caught BNSF 2795 two days earlier on the point of the Noyes Local.

Flat. Barren. Frigid. Featureless. Ah yes, eastern North Dakota railroading at its finest!! The Drayton Local heads south after a day's work north of Grand Forks.

After picking up some cars, BNSF 2795 leads the Drayton Local out of Minto and south toward Grand Forks. I'm not a horn guy, but I do like the sound this particular GP39-2 puts out!
