3 big Alco 628's, led by CNW 6703, are about to duck under Hwy M35 as they depart Partridge Siding with a loaded ore train bound for Escanaba in May of 1986.
CNW 6704 brings a freight into Butler, WI on a snowy day in December of 1985. The big Alco's would occasionally make the trip from Green Bay to Butler, but were usually used north of Green Bay.
CNW 1385 departs the Butler, WI yard with a trainload of passengers attending Butler RR days in June of 1984. The steam engine is slowly being rebuilt and will hopefully see action again.
CNW 8005 crosses the swollen Cedar River in August of 1993. Once a gauntlet bridge, it is single track in this photo. Once a bottleneck for traffic, the bridge has since been double tracked.
