Leaving Albany for New York; bridge was removed when station relocated to Rensselaer.
End of the chase down from Port Henry as train enters Whitehall Yard. The PAs were turned and returned quickly to Rouses Point. Quite a sight!

I chased the train down from Port Henry, a very fast chase, just got out of the car in time to shoot him near the interlocking at LC cabin.
Light power for a main line PC train at this time. Piggyback and not Flexi-van consist is giveaway this is in PC era.
Why did the crew decide to open the nose door? Must have been some real air conditioning on this cold day. Train is heading over the B&M to Mechanicsville Yard.

I rode this Empire Service westbound from Albany to shoot around Dewitt Yard. It is the highest number E7 on the NYC.
I believe the 1302 was the last operating FA on Penn Central. The train is eastbound on the Boston and Maine on a Dewitt Yard-Mechanicville run.
The train is going in the hole for two westbounds.
