On a lovely Sunday morning, the D.U.R.R. beings preparations for their first train of the morning.

A beautiful day to take a ride on a train. Delaware & Ulster's first trip of the day from Arkville to Roxbury.

Delaware & Ulster's former D&H Alco RS-36 #5017 waits at Arkville Station to bring another train to and from Roxbury as a family of four heads for the station to get their tickets.

Feeding eight motors required high throttle settings and this ex-TC unit is slugging it out as it shoves a large cut of the stuff that made Corbin great.

All over Eastern Kentucky there were these "boomers" from other original owners with their slugs. The slugs were cut down RS-3s. This unit came from Tennessee Central. I don't think I ever saw ... (more)

Back on home rails, LA&L 418 heads south after picking up cars from CSX and R&S in Rochester. LA&L 418 started life as NKP 865. Later became N&W 2865, ONCT 86, ONCT 418 and now LA&L 418.
