AMTK 11 leads the California Zephyr up the steep grade to Tunnel #1 and will soon pass through 31 tunnels as it winds its way through the Colorado Rocky Mountains.
The morning California Zephyr out of Denver gets a late start heading into the Rocky Mountains, and as the train crosses Blue Mountain Drive you can see a railfan taking pics as it passes.
"The City of New Orleans" Train no. 59 had 8 extra single-level cars on it today as it traveled down to New Orleans. The single-level cars will be used for the Polar Express.
