In the morning, UP power sits outside the shops. No. 567 has spent considerable time fighting snow on Donner Pass.
I have seen many UP units lead the Zephyr when a P42 goes down. Yet I have never seen a snow service GP38 do the honors.
As the sun sets over the Marin County hills across San Pablo Bay, a late California Zephyr begins its final sprint west to Emeryville behind UP power borrowed at Truckee.
Yet again, the spreader is out plowing.....what a sight to see!

As the storm passes the snow removal equipment gets a rest and a set of helpers wait for the next call.
After plowing Soda Springs, the MOW employees change the direction of the plow before continuing westward.
