YDHR's work train heads out of their yard to drop ties along the line where needed, for replacement.

YDHR's other active Alco, YDHR 22, shuffles around in Uxbridge Yard. It would be another hour before the work convoy of hi-rail truck and train departed for Goodwood.
A rare work train is about to leave the Uxbridge yard this morning with an oddball set up. The train had a hi-rail truck run in front of it and dropped ties every mile or so down the line.

YDHR's "backup" locomotive to YDHR 3612 (RS-11) has seen no action this summer, but still stands ready for duty.

YDHR 22 is an RS-3 built by Montreal Locomotive Works in April of 1955. Although presently sidelined by a cracked piston I'm told they hope to have her in service again for the 2008 season.
