A rare variation of the GP28 and a cascade green cousin lead the Cass Lake Local westward through downtown East Grand Forks right behind the City Job.

With nothing more than a lousy eight-car local today, I decided I had to try something different.

After the Mill Job clears the way, the Cass Lake Local heads eastward over the rain-swollen Red River to meet a westbound grain train at Fisher and then continue its journey into lakes country.

After spending the entire morning in the Grand Forks yard due to air pressure issues, the Cass Lake Local accelerates through East Grand Forks with a nice set of whiteface BN geeps leading the way... (more)
