UP 1989 passes threw southwest reaches of The Great Salt Lake. The water here is being used for commercial evaporation ponds. Morton Salt has a plant near by, with a giant mountain of salt.

When I went out after 1989, this is the location I had in mind. With the train running later than I anticipated. I end up driving another 60 miles west and getting a couple more shots. Fortunately... (more)
