Shortly after sunrise, Shosholoza Meyl's "Tourism" from Port Elizabeth is heading north on the Free State main line near Rooiwal, destination Johannesburg. This 6E1 is lettered for NATCOR (Natal Corridor) and has retained its original Spoornet orange livery, with blue and white striping along the lower body sides. The blue vehicle behind the locomotive is an oil-fired steam heating car, supplying heat to the passenger cars. The three purple cars in the middle of the train are the original "Premier Classe" diner (2) and kitchen cars which are not compatible with the newer power car sets. An interesting train for the first shot of the day!
