With much of BNSF Railway's former Santa Fe C40-8W and C41-8W fleet being sold to the Canadian National, it seemed appropriate to post an image of them working together late in their service lives. Here the BNSF 901 leads two of its ex-Santa Fe siblings along the former D&RGW approaching Spanish Fork Canyon at Sutro, Utah. By the year 2008, catching three C40-8W's working together on a trackage rights train was all but impossible. Not so on this January day as not one ubiquitous orange 'Dash Nine' is to be found on the daily Stockton-Denver manifest!
