An abnormally late Saturday morning run of the New England Central's 324 road freight allowed some brilliant sunshine for a short stretch, including the crossing of the Connecticut River from Vermont into New Hampshire (and likewise the crossover from Roxbury to Palmer Subdivisions), with Mt. Ascutney looming in the distance. The consist is a rather colorful NECR GP38 3843, TP&W GP40-2W 4053, CEFX (NECR) SD40-2 3715 and NECR SW1500 2340.
