Remarks & Notes |
It's nice to catch some of the more unusual equipment on NJT's roster in service. In this case a former Amtrak P40DC leads an afternoon commuter train bound for High Bridge, NJ. NJT acquired 4 of these units (4800-4803) to help cover the failed "ACES" train which offered direct service from New York City to Atlantic City. After recently being offered for sale, it seems NJT has now opted to keep the units in service. One or two are often assigned to the Raritan Valley Line. |
