Remarks & Notes
The American Orient Express luxury cruise train heads westbound at Coal Creek Canyon and is about to enter Tunnel 1 east of Plainview, Colorado, on September 14, 2000. Soon, the streamlined train will be in the scenic wonder of the “Tunnel District” on Union Pacific’s former Rio Grande route to the Moffat Tunnel. On the rear is a former New York Central 20th Century Limited observation car now named “New York.”
