Remarks & Notes |
On May 4 (fittingly my wife's birthday...but not her amusement) the Lake State Railway assembled a quartet of the new corporate-image-painted locomotives for train Z126 from Saginaw to Bay City, Michigan. While there working for the the LSRC the pair of SD40-2s - 6301 and 6302 - were combined with the newly-arrived GP40-3/Road Slug set of 4303 and 303 to form this 'corporate scheme' PR run. This shot would not have been possible on any of the other days in town and was fortunately able to be coordinated with a morning series or thunderstorms. The consist is seen passing the LSRC corporate offices in Saginaw on the way north to Bay City as it leaves the Saginaw Subdivision for the Bay City Subdivision in the foreground. Camera was D810 with a total of 4 Alien Bees B1600 units used (yes in the daytime) with settings of ISO 200 and 1/250 at f11. |
