Remarks & Notes
The Alaska Railroad has decided to upgrade the APU spur and as such has been replacing track panels between the AK Mill and CEI. Today I caught the company work train backing down the spur to ballast those track panels. It was just plain luck as I had to be at work at 3 and snapped these photos at 2:45. The work train included two original paint GP40-2s as well as caboose 1092. Quite a sight in this day and age, especially along the ARR's quasi street running.
