With the extremely heavy traffic density, near-simultaneous departures and express ("fast") trains intermixed with local ("slow") trains, it's not uncommon for trains on the Mumbai suburban network to pace each other over a good distance. Here, I'm on board an outbound slow train for Kalyan, while a relatively uncrowded fast train paces us and will soon overtake us as we slow for our next station stop. The fast trains on the Central Railway typically run express to Kalyan, with some continuing on to Kasara and Khopoli.
Photographs where trains and people mix, weather it's street running, plant switching or carrying a unit grain train out of an elevator, it will be put here.
