Remarks & Notes
Soo Line on the Soo Line These two former Soo SD60's are in about run 5 as they shove this ballast train through the tipple at Dresser Trap Rock, Inc. Without a digital speedometer, the engineer keeps a close eye on the ground to determine if he is at "walking speed." This is the original Soo Line route from the Twin Cities to Superior ,WI. Ironically, although technically back on home rails, with a build date of 11/89, 6061 was delivered about 5 years after this route was abandoned, and the remains sold to Wisconsin Central LTD. Taken while off duty, wearing full PPE.

Some how, these locomotives have managed to last this long with the colors of their previous owners, which have since vanished into history.
