Passenger scheme FP7 104A and a few freight Fs idle at Savanna, IL roundhouse between runs on a snowless January 1976 day. Nearly two years after being pulled from passenger service due to Amtrak, 104A still wears its UP matched passenger scheme which Milwaukee used starting in late 1955 when they gained the contract to handle UP City trains to/from Chicago. It does appear that MILW has repainted the pilot, sill, trucks and tank black since pulling this from passenger service.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
