Remarks & Notes
Swiss steam at its best! We celebrate this year the 100th anniversary of the beautiful four-cylinder compound 2-10-0 steam locomotive "Elephant" C 5/6 #2978 from SBB Historic. It is seen here together with B 3/4 #1367, a 101-year old 2-6-0 "Mogul" steam locomotive, crossing the 70-meter high and 122-meter long middle Meienreuss bridge of the Gotthard north ramp on a typical Autumn day with light rain, low clouds and sunshine! To be seen in the background: the famous Parish church of Wassen, built in 1734, called in Swiss German "S Chileli vo Wasse".
