In 2021, the Rigibahnen (more precisely the Vitznau-Rigi-Bahn VRB) will celebrate 150 years of operation. The VRB was the first cogwheel mountain railway in Europe, built by Niklaus Riggenbach. To celebrate this anniversary, the steamlocomotive H 1/2 # 7, built in 1873 by the SLM Winterthur and owned by the Swiss Museum of Transport, will operate on the Rigibahnen again, like on this photo from 2009 between Rigi Staffel and Rigi Kulm, with cars B # 5 from 1871 (when the railway was inaugurated!) and B # 11 "Bambus" from 1889. In the moment, the locomotive is exhibited in the swiss museum of transport in Lucerne.
