Pride in Service: Quite possibly the most followed train of 2021 thus far, CSXT Q410-14 skirts along the Hudson River as they hustle through Tomkins Cove, NY. Also one of the strangest looking trains of the year thus far, the train is powered by all three CSX “Pride in Service” locomotives with the leader being CSXT 1776 long-hood-forwards, or “Southern Style” as it’s occasionally referred to as. This unusual arrangement started when the train had issues with both the 911 and 3194 down in New Jersey, making the train’s only capable leader the 1776, their mid-train DPU. Fishing the unit out and making it their leader, the delay also provided for a daylight run up the River Line. Portable ditch lights on the rear of the unit, this consist at track speed was quite a sight to see!
