GLC 384 leads the short ONTN northbound through Ithaca.
After a tip this morning of the trio of SD35s leading ONTN, I had an idea for a shot southbound. Since I was in school until 2:30, there wouldn't be a way that I could catch them going north. By my 4th and 5th period, I paused during welding and checked the status of the train. It was nearing 2pm, and the train was getting ready to leave Owosso Northbound. With this in mind, I knew there was a chance to chase north and south.
I got my equipment around and was out the door around 3:30. My immediate thought was to shoot them passing Roggy Rd through the trees however, I passed the train spotting ZFS so that idea was foiled. I turned around and went downtown where the elevator stands. They usually get a handful of cars per year here. Once parked, I saw this tall snow bank. Knowing what kind of height advantage I could get, I climbed to the top and began filling my brand new SD Card. I must say, a trio of SD35s is a great way to end the month.
