Remarks & Notes |
This 2118 meter high peak of the Pilatus massif is called Esel (donkey). Two coupled Bhe 2/2 railcars of the Pilatus Railway descend the steep route as train 24 to Alpnachstad. The Pilatus Railway is the only one to use the Locher cogwheel system and, at up to 48%, is the steepest cogwheel railroad in the world. |
