| With only 52 of these distinctive rebuilds on Norfolk Southern's roster of approximately 4,000 locomotives, and with no other railroad having SD70ACC type locomotives, this particular type of EMD rebuild is a rarer catch for railfans. The leader was rebuilt from SD70 NS 2544 in June 2019. Behind the leader is NS 4692 (AC44C6M; rebuilt from C44-9W NS 9384 in October 2023). |
