Bombardier TRAXX P160 AC3 147 # 568 of the Deutsche Bahn is running the IC 188 from Zürich via Schaffhausen-Singen to Stuttgart, between Rafz and Lottstetten. This type of doubledeck push-pull trains, called IC2 by the DB AG, should run on this line since years. Severe software troubles delayed the change to the IC2 trains. The IC2 will replace the former Westbahn doubledeck "KISS" of the 4010 series from StadlerRail. They have slighter less seats (468 instead of 480), which is a problem in peak hours between Zürich and Schaffhausen. In addition, a major step backwards in terms of accessibility: instead of level access from the 55 cm platform at all doors, the IC2 has level access at the cab car only.
