| When NSM received three SD40-3s from Livingston Rebuild Center they traded in a number of older units, including SD18 1228. When the mining railroad experienced a need for extra power LRC loaned the SD18 back to the mining railroad, this time in mustard yellow. Here the unit rests on BNSF while en route. The pair of Missabe SD38s were on BNSF for horsepower payback. |
