A pair of EMD GP9s switch Union Pacific’s yard at Council Bluffs, Iowa, in July 1983. UP No. 222 is a GP9 built in 1954 and does not have dynamic brakes, while GP9u No. 332 is rebuilt with a turbocharger and is now rated at 2,000 horsepower.
