| Both westbound and eastbound California Zephyr trains typically meet on or near the Salt Flats during the midnight hour, but passengers on this 12-hour late train were treated to a daytime trip across this arid patch of land once known as Lake Bonneville.
On the rear of the train is a Zephyr original, the Silver Solarium observation dome car. |
