"Western Maryland" 501 crosses the National Highway (U.S. 40) on the outskirts of Cumberland, Md. The GP30 became the star of the show during the "Farewell to 734" trip on this day when the 2-8-0 developed mechanical problems that cut its day short. Krista Golden waves to the train as it comes off the bridge.
