On August 10, 1985, Streamline Excursions, Inc. sponsored the "Return of the 400," a round trip passenger excursion between Amtrak's St. Paul-Minneapolis Midway Station to Eau Claire, Wisconsin, on the Chicago and North Western’s main line to Milwaukee and Chicago, once the route of the famous “400.” Pulling the passenger train was C&NW F7s Nos. 402 and 401, shown during a runby at the depot in Hudson, Wisconsin, toward the end of the day on the return trip.
