| The CNW-BN diamond is dominated for a few minutes by BN with westbound BN 7218 meeting an eastbound stack train in downtown Rochelle. Meantime, BN 1977 and its caboose have finished some switching at Rochelle's Del Monte plant and are waiting for things to ease up so they can caboose hop back to their small facility on Rochelle's southeast side. Once things clear up it won't be long before CNW adds to the afternoon entertainment. It should be noted that technically these are BNSF trains crossing the UP, since both BN and CNW ceased to exist at least on paper in 1995. |
