Truly inspiring life experiences like this don't come along too often, but this day was one of those days for me. I had the distinct privilege of meeting a little boy who loved trains so much he wished to be a conductor. As it were, this little boy battled for his life against cancer, and was granted his wish by the Make-A-Wish foundation and Amtrak. This photo shows the smiles Conductor Himmy brought to everyone's face as he scanned tickets for Conductor Dave on a regularly scheduled Acela Express train (you always make the least senior person do the most work on the railroad!). This day was for Himmy, but with all the positive energy flowing it felt like Himmy was the one giving us something special. It's hard to put into words just how special it was.
