Remarks & Notes

The Erie-Lackawanna acquired a large number of new hoppers in the early- to mid-1970’s, and a lot lasted intact well into Conrail’s existence. Here a car built in April, 1974 rolls through Reading, Pennsylvania eight years after the EL disappeared.
